In our standard contract of employment we include an opt out in respect of the 48 hour limit as set by the
Working Time Regulations 1998 the 48 hours is taken as an average over a 17 week period.
Whilst we endeavour to limit the number of hours of work where possible, we do include this wording in our
contracts as due to the nature of the work you have applied for the working week could be in excess of 48 hours.
You have the option to opt back in to the limit by giving four weeks' written notice.
If you have any concerns in respect of the opt out or the number of hours advertised please do raise this with us
should you be shortlisted for the next stage in the recruitment process.

If your application is successful, our Training Division will ensure that you receive a comprehensive induction,
with follow up training relevant to your area of work. We also hope that you will go on to receive extra training
in your chosen field, thus assisting you with your career progression with Apex.
Our carers work 7am to 2pm and 4pm to 10pm daily and we offer a flexible work pattern as required, i.e. tea
visits, evenings or weekends. However, as most of clients require assistance early in the morning and again late
in the evenings, we do ask our staff to be available to cover some of these shifts. We also request that staff
have availability to work every other weekend.
